Ashish SS13

Absolutely in love with Ashish's 2013 Spring/Summer collection. I love the fact it looks like a school uniform,    I love the oversized-ness (word?), I love the excessive use of sparkle, I love the french phrases I LOVE IT. I hope my love has been successfully expressed.

Ashish Gupta please make a collection VERY similar to

this for Topshop!

OOTD: Shopping

Today I went shopping with my boyfriend's sister, Alice (The Mummy Musings) as she had to get a whole new wardrobe, due to her returning to work next week after maternity leave. This is the outfit I wore:

Jumper Topshop
Shirt Uniqlo
Jeans Primark
Trainers Converse
Necklace River Island

Alice bought lots of nice things, but sadly I have no dollar so I only bought Disco Inferno from the Model's Own new mirror ball range. I put it on my nails this eve over a peach polish, I am a fan.

I tried this dress on from Topshop but decided against it in the end as I can't imagine it will get enough outings to justify the price. Having to wear black to work makes me sad!

I'm going to Alton Towers tomorrow, super excited :)

London Fashion Week

So today I took a stroll (well, two tubes) down to Somerset House to check out London Fashion Week. I just like to go down and look at people and try and spot bloggers I recognise. I went with my boyf, which I like doing because he makes comments like this that crack me up:

Me: 'I like that clutch'
Him: 'What the see-through one...yeah, good for the airport'

and after seeing a rather, ahem, unusual outfit on a man:

'I should have just come here wearing a see through mac and a pair of heels' (oh the image!)

So we just spent an hour observing the craziness that ensues when a lot of fashion types get together to out-fashion each other. I saw a lot of outfits I did really like, but some people...it kinda annoys me when people are too 'out there' with fashion because I don't feel like it's being particularly stylish. I feel like anyone could shove on a million different prints, dye their hair green and wear a ton of mental make up. I like it when people put unusual textures together, or wear an un expected accessory or pair of shoes. Like this lady:

Love the masculine/feminine style, I don't particularly like the shoes but I think she works it.

Anyway, this is what I wore for the occasion:

Dress River Island
Jacket Primark
Necklace New Look
Boots River Island
Ring YSL
Nails Topshop 'Celestial'

There was another girl there wearing the same dress as me...awkward! Also, check out my boyfriend's Vans, I think they are so cute...

Looking forward to the rest of London fashion week!

Gold Dress

I bought this dress on Saturday from River Island, I was going to wear it out on Saturday night but ended up wearing an old-ish Topshop number I've never worn before (pointless fact for you there)

As soon as I saw it in the shop I loved it, I'm always really drawn to oversize things. My mum thinks they look horrible and shapeless but I love pairing them with either bare legs or really skin tight bottoms like wet look leggings or disco pants. It was only £30 which is an alright price, I think it Topshop it would be at least £38.

I also think it will look cool dressed both up and down- with heels and a clutch for a night out and I can't wait to try it with my studded army jacket and ankle boots or converse for day time.

In other news, I'm annoyed with Topshop. I re-purchased my Vectras as the other 2 pairs had completely died. I also ordered these Maveriq ones which are similar, as I wasn't sure which ones I preferred, and I can't bear to pay the delivery charge so I just order over £75 worth of stuff and then just return what I don't want. My beef is, I want the gold studs (I only really wear gold jewellery), but on the pleather base. Why can't they just merge them?

My life is so hard.

Excited for the rest of NY fashion week...and then London fashion week yaaay. Definitely going to go down to Somerset House next weekend, but I have no idea what to wear. Might take some street style photos if I am brave enough, but it's embarassing because at the moment all I have is my phone, really need to invest in a proper camera. I'm really clueless about cameras and photography though, if anyone has any tips please let me know!
